Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how TempMail.is (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use our free temporary email / disposable email service. Last updated: 15 July 2026.
1. What Temp Mail is
TempMail.is provides disposable email addresses so you can receive messages (for example verification codes) without using your personal inbox. The service is designed for convenience and basic privacy—not as a secure encrypted mailbox for sensitive personal, financial, or medical data.
2. Information we process
- Service data: temporary addresses you create, and messages delivered to those addresses, so the product can work.
- Technical data: standard server and security logs (for example IP address, browser type, timestamps) may be processed to operate, protect, and debug the service.
- Device storage: some state (such as your session or inbox list) may be stored in your browser (for example IndexedDB / local storage) for speed and continuity.
- Contact email: if you email us, we receive whatever you send in that message.
We do not require an account with your real name, and we do not ask you to register with a personal email to use the core temp mail tool.
3. How we use information
- Provide and maintain disposable inboxes and message delivery
- Prevent abuse, spam, fraud, and technical attacks
- Measure basic performance and reliability
- Respond to support or business inquiries you send us
- Comply with law when required
4. Cookies, ads, and analytics
We may use analytics (for example Google Tag Manager / related tags on production) and advertising partners (for example display ads) that set cookies or similar technologies. These help us understand traffic and fund a free service. Your browser settings can limit cookies; blocking them may affect some features or ad experience.
5. Sharing of information
We may use infrastructure, email-receiving, analytics, and advertising providers who process data on our behalf to run the service. We do not sell your personal information as a product. We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of the service and its users.
6. Important privacy limitations
- A disposable address is not private like a personal account. Anyone who knows or guesses the address may be able to read messages sent to it.
- Do not use temp mail for banking, government IDs, healthcare, passwords you must keep forever, or other high-risk accounts.
- Emails you receive may be processed by our systems and providers to display them in the web app.
- Clearing browser data or deleting an address can remove local access; backend retention may differ for abuse prevention.
7. Data retention
Temporary messages and addresses are kept only as needed to provide the service and combat abuse. Retention windows may change as we improve the product. You can delete addresses from the app interface when available.
8. International processing
Our infrastructure and partners may process data in different countries. By using TempMail.is you understand that information may be transferred to where our servers or providers operate.
9. Children
The service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). Do not use the service if you are under the applicable age.
10. Your choices
- Stop using the service at any time
- Delete temporary addresses in the app when the feature is available
- Clear site data in your browser
- Contact us with privacy questions (see below)
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
